Though president of Baku United FC Ilham Nagiyev is not a professional sportsman, being a student in London and showing interest in futsal, he created the amateur Baku United futsal club in 2008.
And in 2012-2013 Baku United, led and support by Ilham Naghiyev, became the winner of the National Futsal League FA.
It has been already a few years that Ilham Naghiyev organizes tournaments for the cup for amateur futsal players in a number of European countries which shows his interest in this sphere and creates confidence that he will achieve greater endevours in the future.
Vice president of FC Baku United Ilgar Naghiyev is one of the first founders of the club who made great contribution to its development. In the first years of the club’s activity Ilgar Naghiyev also played futsal and made his contribution to the first achievements of the club. Ilgar Naghiyev's achievements in Club management show that his leadership capacities will develop even further.
Alexander Shaliy was born on September, 20 1969 in the city of Ternopol, Ukraine. Graduated from the Ternopol Polytechnic Institute and Ternopol Institute of Financial Economics.
Alexander Shaliy studied at provincial child-youth football physical culture school for 10 years, and since 1991 he has been operating as a football referee. Since 2007, Alexander Shaliy is a head of sport department of the Coordinating Council of British compatriots.
Married and has 4 children.
