Baku United FC beats the champion Italy UEFA Futsal Cup main stage matches started on October 1, 2014. English champion Baku United, founded by a UK based “Odlar Yurdu Organisation”, will be struggling against renowned Luparense (Italy), Ekonomac (Serbia) and Athina ‘90 (Greece) in the first group - considered to be the “group of death”.
Baku United’s first match was against group leader - Italian champion Luparense and to the surprise of all, the opponent lost with a score of 6-2. The team’s first half performance was at the highest level, scoring four unanswered goals. Italians went on offensive, scoring two goals in a row in the second half, however Baku Utd. did not allow the opponent to change the game with another two goals.
