Baku United continues its triumphal march in the UEFA At the second match of the main stage of the UEFA, Baku Utd. had to deal with the champion of Serbia - Ekonomac. Though the match taking place in Serbia and the local hard-core fans having a strong support of, the team behaved nowhere near as a guest. The team leader Marcelo scored at the fourth minute, 8 minutes after experienced fullback Carlos Munoz brought the score to 2-0 by a penalty kick. By the end of the first half Ekonomac could settle the score to 2-1.
The team’s tradition of intense game during the second half scored two more goals against the Serbian champion. Thus, by defeating experienced Ekonomac with a score of 4-1, Baku United wrote a new page in the history of England futsal. It became the first English club to rise to the Elite stage in the UEFA Futsal cup.
